The University of Arizona’s Lunar and Planetary Laboratory explains that the circular fracture pattern in the image might be due to a deposit settling over a buried impact crater. Additionally, they suggest that the “nose” in the image could be a volcanic or mud vent and the deposit could be lava or mud flows.
